SmartGaon Mentors

SmartGaon Foundation is partnering with schools in villages and small towns in India to connect schools with Mentors around the world. SmartGaon Mentors are proactive leaders across the world who voluntarily give their time and expertise to guide and enable the students to experience, learn and practice 21st Century Skills. As part of this initiative, SmartGaon provides a platform where Mentor and Mentee (Students) can connect and discuss problems and potential solutions related to education, personal performance, and challenges of student life in general.

Kojo – 21st CENTURY SKILLS THROUGH CODING ALIGNED WITH NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY (NEP) 2020

In the new National Education Policy (NEP-2020) in India, coding is mandatory for kids (class 6 onwards). This opens up tremendous opportunities for children to learn 21st century skills – through coding. But in rural India, due to the lack of infrastructure & well-trained teachers, the quality of education and the ability to bring in these new educational ideas remains below par. In addition, in recent times, the COVID-19 pandemic has created a big negative impact on the education of kids in rural India.

IBM Skillsbuild Program-

SkillsBuild offers best in class content and in-depth guidance to help learners success. Learners are able to assess the alignment of their skills and personality with in-demand job roles, engage in online learning, receive guidance from IBM mentors, and work on real projects to create a portfolio. Online learning is further supported by in-person work through NGO partners. SkillsBuild’s goal is to put the success of the learner first, beginning with skills and moving into a lifelong career trajectory.
