We successfully completed the pilot project in Taudhakpur, which is a remote village and had limited amenities, located in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh. We have helped the village get smarter by setting up CCTV cameras, Public Address System, Dustbins, street lights. Taudhakpur now receives 18-20 hours of power supply and is also equipped with a wifi zone. With the help of the Mobile app SmartGaon all such initiatives are updated, recorded, tracked and monitored, ensuring a free flow of information. Apart from our pilot project we now have over 500+ villagers who have joined us in the SmartGaon initiative.

Success Story
Due to the efforts of the youth of the village and the Smart Village Development Foundation, Padariya Thoban village has become a completely smart village! A young filmmaker Mr. Harish Pate visited this village and was impressed with the development of Padhariya Thoban. He caught sight of this village and talked to SmartGaon coordinator Anuj Bajpai to make a documentary film on “Smartgaon Padariya Thoban”. This film won many awards.

SmartGaon Mentors
SmartGaon Foundation is partnering with schools in villages and small towns in India to connect schools with Mentors around the world. SmartGaon Mentors are proactive leaders across the world who voluntarily give their time and expertise to guide and enable the students to experience, learn and practice 21st Century Skills. As part of this initiative, SmartGaon provides a platform where Mentor and Mentee (Students) can connect and discuss problems and potential solutions related to education, personal performance, and challenges of student life in general.
